Alissa Schmidt, Investigator

Alissa joined the Ashland County Prosecutor’s Office in January 2023.  Alissa’s responsibilities include preparing legal pleadings and administrative functions for Juvenile Delinquencies, Children Services Division, Civil matters, and other duties as assigned.  Alissa graduated from Tiffin University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Criminal Justice.  Alissa lives in Ashland with her husband, Chris and their 2 children.

Laura Stanley, Investigator

Laura joined the Ashland County Prosecutor's Office in August 2024.  She previously worked for UH Samaritan for 18 years prior to joining Ashland County in January 2018. Laura has previously volunteered as a CASA for Ashland County and worked as a Home Investigator for the Ashland County Domestic Relations Court. She graduated from Ashland University with a Bachelor’s of Science in 2018 and earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Akron School of Law in 2023.

Outside of work, Laura enjoys vacationing, reading, spending time with her friends and family, and is an avid Cleveland Brown’s fan. Laura and her husband, Joe, have 5 children, 4 grandchildren, and 3 fur-babies.
